Toys: Weapons

There toys are strongly
encouraged for cubs older than six. Most Barbic cubs will take
to them immediately
but some cubs may have some difficulty.
Please keep in mind that these toys are also
weapons and _can_ cause injury if misused. Supervision is
strongly recommended, even for older cubs. These are encouraged for play if
your little cub
dreams of being a warrior or a
knight. If you have any suggestions for other weapons, please
send them to

Target
Set
The perfect toy for
almost every Barbic cub and anyone desiring to be a
knight. We recommend your cub be at least seven before
receiving this gift as it does have a few sharp points
and can be swallowed. The child sized bow is made from
Barbic oak, sturdy and water proof to some degree, and
easily held by small hands. the arrows are crafted
from Barbic pine and smoothed to prevent splinters.
The target can be hung on any surface with a nail.
Sure to create hours of fun and practice for your
little warrior. |

Shields
As every knight
and warrior has a weapon, each must have some
protection. Here is where our toy shields come into
play. Designed with a variety of colors and designs,
they are made of a lightweight material with adjustable
straps so they can be worn by nearly any age. Each come
in sets of two. Great for the final touch to a cub's
imaginative games.

Staff
Plain and simple,
this staff can still provide entertainment and practice
for the inspiring warrior. Made of fine wood and
smoothly sanded to eliminate splinters, this staff is
still a weapon and recommended only for older cubs. It
has no sharp points but can cause minor injuries if
misused. But for the responsible cub, it can provide
great fun. |

Sleephorn
Modeled after the
traditional weapons of the Gummadoon knights, this horn
is about as long as a small staff and comes in two
versions: a plastic one for the younger knights-to-be
and a metal one for those older squires. The metal
version can leave bruises so it is recommended for
mature and older cubs. The plastic one is great for cubs
3 and up. Either
version provides hours of play battles for your little
warriors. |

Sword
Popular for decades,
this wooden sword is recommended for cubs six and
above. They come in two designs, one with a sharpened
point that is designed for cubs starting to practice
weapons. The second design has a dulled point and
should be safe for cubs six and over. Chances are your
little one will find other ways of practice so adult
supervision is recommended.

Slingshot
The third weapon in
our toy series, this is the classic slingshot. Made of
thick oak and dependable rubber, this toy weapon can
fire up to ten feet away. Only responsible
children should be trusted with this as it can cause
harm if its use is abused. We recommend it for cubs
six and older. Practice with this weapon is not only
fun but improves aim...so have fun. |
