Sydni's Knight Collection

Sydni has told me since the day he even _arrived_ at the orphanage that his dream is to serve as a knight one day. He has already done research on the Gummi cities that need knights and has narrowed down his choices. However, he has to be trained so we have already arranged for him to go to training in Gummadoon during the summer months. In the meantime, he has this collection to play with.

These knight figurines sit on Sydni's nightstand, awaiting him when he wakes up. He changes their "battle positions' every day almost. One day one knight will be the leader and the next day, he will have become the lowest ranking officer possible and the second in command will become leader. He says he does this so none of them will be left out. Ah, the imagination of a four year old.

This is easily Sydni's favorite book. It not only has information about knights which Sydni drinks like water but it also has all the materials to build a mini knight figurine, which you can see here. Sydni named his Sir Lancelot after the famous knight of Celtic legend. It took him forever to make so it stands in a place of honor above his bed.

These two posters may look a little silly, heck even Sydni agrees, but for some reason he likes them for exactly that reason. He says it is nice to know that not all pictures of knights will be dashing and daring. He likes these because they show the knights in the "funny" medieval clothing. One poster is on the front of his door and the other's on the back.

These three books are some of Sydni's favorites although they were hardly designed for a four year old! He loves me to read little segments to him about the weapons and daily tasks of a knight. He loves the weapons most of all, mainly the swords. Sometimes, I'll take out mine and do a few tricks with it for him. Oh, how his eyes will light up!
